Sally McPhie

Veterinarian & Practice Owner (BVSc)

Sally received her Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Sydney in 1998 and initially began working in rural mixed practice in Yass, then Griffith and Hay and finally Cooma.  After having children she returned to university and completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery before returning to veterinary practice. 

Sally's dream became a reality when she purchased The 'Summer Street Vet Clinic' from the previous owner Dr Sarah Britton at the end of 2013, and made moved with her partner Scott and her boys to the beautiful town of Orange where they now call home. Living on a property on the outskirts of town who share there peace of paradise with an old pony, 3 cats, a rabbit, a paddock full of sheep and 'Pirate' the chunky wannabe sheepdog. 

You'll find Sally in all fields of the vet clinic life, though consulting with our clients and tending their fur babies is the most popular. Sally is very passionate about your animal's care and welfare, ensuring your pets needs are highest priority.     

Adele Spicer

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Adele is an experienced vet who has been working at the Summer Street Vet Clinic for the past 6 years. She graduated from Sydney University in 2008 who has enjoyed working and enhancing her skills in small and large animal practices since. Adele moved from rural Victoria to return home to Orange to be closer to family in the area. She enjoys the relationship connections built with clients and staff, that come from working in rural and regional communities. 

She has undertaken additional studies in small animal ophthalmology, behaviour and medicine to which still maintains a strong interest in these fields. Adele enjoys working in a clinic that offers the variety of medicine and surgery seen her at Summer Street Vets, being part of a team that works hard to do the best thing by your pet. 

Outside work Adele is kept busy by her toddler, 2 cats and 2 new guinea pig additions. Any spare time is spent in the garden or catching up with family and friends.  

Scott Tucker

Veterinarian (BVSc Hons)

Kelli Lane

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Kelli has been working at Summer Street Vet Clinic since 2014. Kelli graduated from the Unviversity of Sydney in 1992 and worked in Emu Plains, England and Bathurst before returning to Orange to start a family.
Kelli enjoys working with small animals in practice especially cast, dogs and rabbits. She enjoys medical and surgical cases, and connecting with our patients owners. 

Outside work Kelli enjoys helping manage her families rural property running sheep and cattle. At home she has a 14 year old Jack Russell called 'Pippi', a team of working Kelpies and x1 horse. 

Amy Sharp

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing )

Amy started her veterinary nursing journey here at Summer Street Vets in 2014 whilst returning from maternity leave and also continuing her part-time gig at the retail giant 'Myer'. Over the years she has fulfilled and rotated positions within the clinic from receptionist, surgical nurse, administration, weekend nurse, animal attendant & puppy preschool instructor.

Amy grew up on a property on the outskirts of Orange with an abundant amount of animals fuelling her love for them.When she is not working, you'll find her making memories with her kids, going on adventures with her German Shepherd and Malamute, visiting family or gardening.

Amy has brought to the team her extensive customer service skills and her devotion for animals and their needs. You will find Amy in most places in the clinic from interacting with clients and their fur babies, behind the scenes with administration, through to tending to the garden.  

Her passion within the veterinary clinic lies working with the veterinarians and carrying out diagnostic procedures such as radiographs or pathology testing.


Jess Pooley

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing )

Jess joined the team in 2020 when she moved from Sydney to Orange. Completing her Certificate IV in 2014 she worked at RSPCA in Sydney for just over 9 years, ending up in a community based role working with people and their animals in need. This included doing regional and remote work to assist with basic animal needs including desexing and vaccinating.

Jess enjoys surgery and has lots of experience with rabbit anaesthetics. She is passionate about animal welfare and has a strong interest in behaviour. 

Jess has a rescue kelpie called Scout, and a rescue rabbit called Renee, along with some goats and rescue chickens. 

In her spare time Jess likes to spend time with her animals, go to the gym, and go exploring in nature. 

Amy Suttor

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing )

 Amy has been working at Summer St Vets since the beginning of 2019 and has completed a Certificate 11 in Animal Studies and a Certificate 1V in Vet Nursing.

Amy grew up on a farm near Mudgee and completed her HSC as a boarder here in Orange.

On weekends Amy is busy caring for her 6 horses, 2 miniature pigs, rescue cats Tinja and Resi, rescue dogs, including a Koolie Pippen and a Wolfhound X Lilly, as well as many chooks and guinea fowl, sheep and cattle.

When Amy isn’t caring for her animals she also enjoys camp drafting, gardening and helping on her family farm.

You’ll usually find Amy out the back nursing for surgeries and hospitalised patients.

Amy brings her love and care of animals to work each and every day.
