Sally McPhie

Sally graduated as a veterinarian from The University of Sydney in 1998 before starting work in mixed general practice. She worked mostly with small animals but also did some large animal work, particularly with sheep and horses before having her first child in 2006 and the second in 2007.

She then went back to small animal practice and started working at The Animal Emergency Centre in Canberra before completing a Bachelor Degree in Medicine and Surgery from The Australian National University.

Sally purchased the Summer Street Veterinary Clinic at the start of December 2013 from Sarah Holman as she always wanted to own her own practice and loves working as a vet. Living in Orange also means she can be closer to family and friends.

Sally and her family own a pug and several cats as well as 2 dwarf lop eared rabbits, a couple of ponies and numerous fish.

Scott graduated from The University of Sydney with Honours in 1977 before going into rural mixed practice in Hamilton, Victoria. In 1980, Scott then purchased a mixed practice in Queanbeyan, NSW where he developed a particular interest in surgery.

Over the years, his practice became more small animal focussed with the urbanisation of the area and in 2002 he sold the practice and locumed overseas for a while before returning and working as the resident surgeon at Canberra Veterinary Hospital until 2005.

He then moved to Jindabyne and was instrumental in settling up a branch practice there for The Snowy Vets group before commencing contract work for AQIS in 2007 while continuing to do referral surgeries for The Snowy Mountains Vet Group.

Scott still works for AQIS but maintains his interest and love of surgery, and works at The Summer Street Vet Clinic doing referral surgeries and consulting on complex cases.
