At Summer Street Vet, we’re equipped to carry out a wide variety of surgical procedures in our modern, fully equipped surgical suite. Whether your pet needs a planned operation or urgent care, we take every step to ensure they receive skilled treatment and compassionate support throughout the process.
Orthopaedic surgery involves any procedure related to bones, joints, or ligaments. These surgeries may be required to repair injuries, relieve pain, or restore mobility. Procedures we commonly perform include fracture repairs, cranial cruciate ligament repair, and luxating patella (dislocating knee cap) surgery.
For complex cases, such as spinal surgery, we may recommend referral to a specialist orthopaedic surgeon to ensure your pet receives the highest level of care.
Soft tissue surgery covers procedures involving the body’s internal organs, skin, or muscles. These include exploratory laparotomies, caesareans, lump removals, biopsies, wound repairs, and foreign body removals.
